Back home

A couple of weekends ago we headed over to Wiltshire to the village where Mark grew up.  I have fond memories of that part of the world.  I used to get the bus from the big town I lived in (Trowbridge - nothing more to be said about that place) which sent me down the winding country lanes for an hour to the village of Lavington.  We never went for romantic walks back then -  it was all about huddling on the couch watching hours of MTV2 and That 70s Show - so going back there recently Mark said he would show me the place he spent his summers cycling around.

Ha "that" picture you see in the US wedding blogs - where was my white dress?!

Over the weekend we saw lots of Mark's family, enjoyed a BBQ, met the cutest puppy and had a great Sunday (in another pub that Mark worked in).  Great family times!

22 weeks

In other news I'm selling my camera.  It's too bulky to carry around and drives me mad.  I prefer photography you can do quickly and I'm finding myself in positions where I don't want to get the SLR out as in some situations it's too loud and to get the right picture you really should fiddle around with the buttons and settings which is fine but I don't have time for that I may as well get a smaller camera which will provide the same pictures as I am getting with the SLR.

If anyone knows anyone wanting to get into photography it's a great little (I suppose there are even bigger SLR cameras out there) piece of equipment and I'm throwing in a zoom lens all here.

More exploring

The weekend before last was a relaxed affair before I went away with work.  We really had to get out the house though so went for more wanderings around the village.  I'm so happy the outdoors is on our doorstep it's unbelievably good for the hayfever too.  I don't know if any other hayfever sufferers out there find this but for some reason I'm a mess in cities or anywhere really built up I can't figure it out.  I was a mess last week when I was staying near London but now I'm back home I'm much better, which is good when you can't take the usual pills for the baby's sake.

We did the weekly bump pic, it's still petite though I seem to have had a growth spurt while being away.  Quite a big growth I'm worrying that I'm going to be silly huge by the end of the pregnancy!

Overton wanderings

I forgot to say thank you in my last blog post to the lovely readers who wished us well so thank you Rhianne, Dora, Charlie, Jen, Naomi, Katie and Nell.  I'm not going to lie every single one of your names I put with "Moore" to see if it had a ring to them and our chosen middle name (at the moment) of a girl and a few did well.  We've always had a boys name in mind so I'm pretty sure as luck would have it we will be having a girl!

This weekend was pretty quiet, Mark went off to a stag do and I had my parents up we chatted about the future.  As a result of these conversations I'm currently researching mortgages what a headache! I think it will teach me a lesson in how to be patient.

When Mark got home all groggy and sore from a combination of paintballing and drinking we went for a walk to wake ourselves up.  It was really nice and we saw a lot more of our village which is so much better than where we used to live I'm looking forward to walking our little one round here (unless we can get on the property ladder before then which would mean moving west where it's cheaper - lesson one in patience!).  Hope you all had a good one and managed to get something done in this terrible weather!

March roundup

March's roundup includes views from my office, photos taken from the car on all the road trips we've done recently and a few from London.

My Mum - she is more trendy than me!
