June wedding

This weekend we went to a traditional big dress and church wedding.  I love weddings ever since we did the deed ourselves - I could happily be a wedding crasher.  We spent the day reminiscing about our very own big day, Mark even said he wants to do it all over again.  Me, I'm looking forward to starting a family and am actually very glad to have that period in my life behind me.

We have one more wedding to go to at the end of this month and I'm going to be a bridesmaid for the first time (well I was a flower girl when I was 3 not sure that counts...) but after that I'm free for wedding crashing any one want to come with me?

More exploring

The weekend before last was a relaxed affair before I went away with work.  We really had to get out the house though so went for more wanderings around the village.  I'm so happy the outdoors is on our doorstep it's unbelievably good for the hayfever too.  I don't know if any other hayfever sufferers out there find this but for some reason I'm a mess in cities or anywhere really built up I can't figure it out.  I was a mess last week when I was staying near London but now I'm back home I'm much better, which is good when you can't take the usual pills for the baby's sake.

We did the weekly bump pic, it's still petite though I seem to have had a growth spurt while being away.  Quite a big growth I'm worrying that I'm going to be silly huge by the end of the pregnancy!

Overton wanderings

I forgot to say thank you in my last blog post to the lovely readers who wished us well so thank you Rhianne, Dora, Charlie, Jen, Naomi, Katie and Nell.  I'm not going to lie every single one of your names I put with "Moore" to see if it had a ring to them and our chosen middle name (at the moment) of a girl and a few did well.  We've always had a boys name in mind so I'm pretty sure as luck would have it we will be having a girl!

This weekend was pretty quiet, Mark went off to a stag do and I had my parents up we chatted about the future.  As a result of these conversations I'm currently researching mortgages what a headache! I think it will teach me a lesson in how to be patient.

When Mark got home all groggy and sore from a combination of paintballing and drinking we went for a walk to wake ourselves up.  It was really nice and we saw a lot more of our village which is so much better than where we used to live I'm looking forward to walking our little one round here (unless we can get on the property ladder before then which would mean moving west where it's cheaper - lesson one in patience!).  Hope you all had a good one and managed to get something done in this terrible weather!

Recently

I've not been doing much recently, just counting down the days until scan day.  I'm sure there will be another countdown starting soon for the big "boy or girl" scan.  It's amazing how you know how many weeks gone you are I never used to even know what day of the week and yet now it's "11+2", "12+4" etc to the question how far are you gone (12+6 today for anyone wondering!)

I think I'm going to keep a bump diary, we've bought a scrap book to put all the pictures in it will be fun to see how much I've grown.  A few people have said I'm showing but under clothes I don't think you can tell, I've always had a bit of a belly I just don't think anyone's noticed before :) what do you think?

We've spent weekends plodding about we visited my parents a couple of weeks back and went around a nice garden and I also got to see some knitwear my Mum's working on - so cute it even inspired me to pick up the knitting needles again!

We've got some interesting things lined up soon so I should get my blogging hat back on!  This weekend the other half is off to a stag do (expect some plodding around the garden pics from me) then we're off to a wedding, thinking about a food/beer festival, going to sunny Menorca for a week and then I'm going to be bridesmaid for one of my best friends.  Let the busyness commence it only makes the countdowns go faster.

Hopefully the bridesmaid dress will be ok for me when I'm 20 weeks pregnant!

Lovely cottage garden near where I live
Nothing to see here...or is there?

Worth waiting for

I'm sure you've noticed this little blog being a bit quiet recently.  I've certainly not been depressed but I've been a bit down and worried as I'm probably the most impatient person I know.  It's been a slow two months but we're finally there...

...this morning we had our 12 week check and saw our little one doing cartwheels and giving us a wave and we couldn't be more happier.  It's a really special thing seeing the baby you've both created I don't think we will ever get over this happiness and I personally feel in a much better place now so bring it on is all I can say, here's to the next 6 months (Christmas baby eek!!).

I'll try not to bore you but I don't know if I can keep that promise it's all I'm thinking about!
